About Me!

Just a few words to introduce myself, please don't be bored!

WELL! What can I tell you? Born and brought up in the Vale of Neath, now living in Llanelli Carmarthenshire. I've been taking photos for thirty odd years, and during this time I have developed the knowledge to take this wonderful art to the next level.

I've developed my business to offer a professional and affordable wedding day service with the great help of my fiancee Jane, who offers advice (A woman's touch...) and encouragement.

It's also nice to interact with people and get involved with their lives, whether it's in a family party, a music festival or a corporate event people like to see themselves and their friends on a photograph. When I look back over my life, I wish I'd had more photographs taken of the things and people that meant a lot, so I hope I can serve the present and future with a pictorial record of who and what we are.

I belong to Llanelli Photographic Society and if there's any advice I can give to someone who wants to improve their photography...join a club! You'll get tons of help and learn much about the art of photography. (you'll find a link to the club in the link section)

I have some of my work in the West Wales Craft Centre in St Clears ,

I have taken official photographs for St. Clears Town Council and the Welsh Assembly Government, as well as other corporate events and presentations. I am very much involved with St Clears Twinning Association and have produced audio visual records of visits.

For the technical... My main camera is a Canon EOS 5D, which I've had for a couple of years after graduating from a Canon EOS 350D. I also have a Canon EOS 1D and a Canon 450D. I still enjoy 'real' photography, so I use film now and again, I own a Canon EOS 3000 film camera, which I take great delight in using because of it's lightness when compared with the digital cameras I own. I use a variety of lenses, from wide angle 'fast' lenses to tele-zoom and macro. As far as flash photography is concerned, as well as a dedicated Canon flash units, I use (and recommend) a Gary Fong Lightspere diffuser to give a softer light and banish most of the shadows.
